We are living in exciting days.  We are very excited about God and what he is doing the these last days.
There is great expectancy in our hearts because God has put it there.  It is his dream that we are fulfilling.
He is acquiring a family for himself and we can say that we are in the Benjamin generation.  The last to
be born and with a special blessing.  God is intensifying His activity to complete his family.
On this last trip before coming to the States for our daughter’s delivery (by the way her baby’s name
is Benjamin) we baptized nine new lives for Christ.  This is quite a number where the population we visit
is so spread out.  We began digging 5 new wells to be finished later as the water goes down.
We have been given a new project to believe for and share with you.  There is a ranch for sale.
The cattle projects here have been very effective for the growth of the Kingdom.  This ranch
will be a Dream Center where young people will be trained and prepared for life to fulfill God’s dreams.  
The expansion of the cattle projects is just one of the purposes. We invite you to partner with
us and God as we see this plan materialize.

January Newsletter

We are coming to the U.S. in April and will be in Baton Rouge for 6 weeks for the birth of Benjamin, our daughter Elizabeth's second child. Here is some more pictures of our boat and our daughter's visit in December. The January Newsletter is below.

“And the Lord said unto the servant, go out into the highways and the hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

We aim to go to the ends of the earth to fill the house of the Lord.  We believe 2008 will be a great year.  The new boat is finally being prepared to fulfill its purpose.  We are planning to take it out the first part of January.  The final touches are being make to make it feel like home (as much as possible).

We have dreamed, prayed, waited, believed, worked and persevered to see this day, and you were with us in it all.  Thank you so much for believing in us and with us.  May we go out together to compel them to come in.

There are a lot wells to dig. Digging wells for a village is the strategy the Lord has given to us to open doors. A well is a constant reminder to the people of the love of God. The Samaritan woman knew that Jacob had dug that well and it always reminded her that she was part of something great. For $200.00 we are able to dig a well that opens the door to the hearts of people for the Gospel and also helps reduce the infant mortality rate in the communities. We are believing that God will do great things in 2008 and we want to be there when He is doing it.

Happy New Year! 2008 is going to be great

Happy New Year to everyone. I have many pictures to post from my daughter's visit with her husband and son. My new boat has been approved for operation and I hope to begin making trips to the interior churches this month.

Weekend "Impactos"

I'm not much of a writer but I must communicate as best I can. Please be patient. My wife can not help me much in this so I must do it alone. Progress is being made in all of the churches under our care. We just brought the church leaders into town for the weekend. We call these weekends "impactos" because we impact them with the word of God. They go back to their villages full and compressed with the Word of God. One of them, a lady, was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Two of the villages that did not have buildings to gather in now have a roof and a concrete floor. Lumber is being cut by chainsaw for the walls. The new boat will soon be on the rivers, digging wells and looking for new places to plant churches for Jesus.

The boat project has been very slow. But once in use, it will be a powerful tool for the Kingdom of God.

Aim – reaching beyond

We all need encouragement. I just got back from visiting the churches we are responsible to take of. 2 of these had been struggling to maintain their heads above the flood problems. One was suffering with low attendance and fornication. And the other one was suffering from discouragement because of other churches causing confusion for new converts. I thank and praise the Lord for His goodness. After the missions conference last month and investing in the lives of leaders there has been a radical turnaround for those 2 churches.

In the first case, attendance is very good now and the men have organized a workforce to help each other clearing land and planting crops. The second church multiplied and the churches that we causing the problems left the area completely. We are encouraged and you may be encouraged to continue to plant into this ministry.

Prayer requests - for the authorities in Brazil to give us the registration papers for the boat. Sometimes they take long because they want money. We will not bend to their corruption.

We need a small outboard motor for the canoe that was given to us to go along with the big boat.

Welcome to the Amazon Inland Mission Blog. We are James and Celia Williams and are missionaries to the people on the interior of the Amazon Jungle. We travel from Manaus, Brazil up and down the Amazon River reaching, building, giving and serving God's people. Thanks so much for visiting our new site and please bookmark us for frequent updates and pictures.

These first pictures are from a visit from Pastor Mark Stermer (Healing Place Church - Baton Rouge, Louisiana), his daughter Sarah, and Pastor Mike Davis (Healing Place Church). We visited 2 of the 5 churches that we have planted along the interior of the Amazon.
